Postponement of 4th African Youth SDGs Summit
The Secretariat of the African Youth SDGs Summit wishes to inform all partners and stakeholders that the 4th African Youth SDGs Summit has been postponed until further notice. A new date would be announced in due course. This is as a result of the political situation in Ethiopia, currently.
Due to political tensions in Ethiopia’s regional districts, the Ethiopian Council of Ministers declared a nationwide state of emergency on Tuesday,November 2nd, 2021.
Under the circumstance, the Secretariat of the African Youth SDGs Summit, in order to ensure that the safety of all participants and stakeholders are assured, an emergency meeting was held to discuss the situation. It was unanimously decided that the summit be postponed to a new date and time which would be communicated in due course with an all-inclusive consultation.
The Secretariat expresses its utmost apologies for any inconvenience this might have caused. Meanwhile, we assure all partners and intended participants that preparations towards the 4th African Youth SDGs Summit will continue and we would update the public on the new dates and venue for the summit.
